How to Choose a Product on the Market

Open the Market tab in your trading platform to move to the main page with a list of the most popular applications.
Use the top panel to move to the desired product category: experts, indicators, panels, utilities, etc. All applications are conveniently grouped based on their price and novelty.

- Analyzers for searching for regularities of the market

Price and novelty
Products can be additionally sorted by price, novelty and popularity. You can also switch to viewing only free products.
Search
Applications can be searched by name or descriptions. For example, you can type "trend" in the search bar to view the products whose descriptions contain the specified word.

A toolbar at the top allows switching between the application information tabs: full description, screenshots and reviews.

Reviews
It is important to read the feedback and comments of other traders who have purchased and tested the application.
Favorites
If you like a product but are not sure about purchasing it, add it to Favorites. So you can easily get back to it at any time. All Favorite products are displayed on a separate tab.
Rating
Every customer can rate a product and give it 1 to 5 stars. Check out the product rating before transferring the payment for it.
Price and number of activations
Information about the application price, as well as the cost of its rent is it is available.
All programs downloaded from the Market are securely encrypted. This is to protect them from unauthorized use.
Encryption is performed so that the product can be run only on the computer from which it is downloaded. The process of product binding to a computer is called activation.
Every product on the Market is provided with at least 5 activations: one is used during purchase, the other four are additional.
A seller may choose to increase the number of available activations. Read more about the activations in the service rules.
Product category
The category defines the essence of a product:
- Trading robot
- Technical indicator
- Panel for trade automation
- Libraries for expanding program functionality during development
- Analyzer for data research
- An assistant utility
You can view other products of the same category by clicking on its name.
Current version
If you have already purchased the application, compare your version. Perhaps an update is available for you.
Updated
The date of the last update. If a product has been updated recently, it means the author continues to improve it.
Author
Click on the name of the product author to view their profile on MQL5.community.
How to Add a Product to Favorites
A huge number of products is available for purchasing. When searching for products, you can add any of them to Favorites in order to select the best one. Add/remove a product from Favorites by clicking on the list and overview page.

Before purchasing an application you can download its demo version. To do this, click on the product and then click "Free Download".
Demo versions have some limitations:
- A demo version of an Expert Advisor cannot be launched on an online chart of the trading platform. Its trading part can be tested only in the Strategy Tester;
- A demo version of an indicator cannot be launched and viewed on an online chart. Its behavior can only be seen in the Visual testing mode in the Strategy Tester.
To quickly start testing an application in the Strategy Tester, run it from the Navigator window.
Next click "Test". The application will be selected in the Strategy Tester. You only need to set parameters and start testing.
Once the testing process is over, review the detailed report in the Results tab to evaluate the trading strategy based on various trading figures and charts. The details of trading operations performed by the Expert Advisor can be viewed in the tester logs.
Indicators are tested in the visual mode. You can view their behavior on a chart, which is plotted based on a sequences of ticks simulated in the tester.
How to Purchase an Application

To purchase an application, click on it and then click the "Buy" button.

To transfer a payment, you can use your MQL5.community account funds. To do this, select MQL5 payment method.
Enter the password of your MQL5.community account to confirm your purchase. The specified amount is deducted from your account, and the product is downloaded to your platform.

If you do not have enough money on your MQL5.community account, you can pay via one of the available payment systems directly in the platform. To maintain a clear and unified history of purchases from the Market, the required amount is first transferred to your MQL5.community account, from which a payment for the product is made then.
The page of the corresponding payment system is opened after you select a payment method. Specify the necessary payment details: your login and password in the payment system or card information.
The specified amount is deducted from your account, and the product is downloaded to your platform.

Where can I see my purchases?
The "Purchased" tab displays all the products downloaded and purchased using the current MQL5.community account. If MQL5.community account data are not specified in the platform settings, the tab name changes to "Downloads". It displays all downloads and purchases made in the current trading platform regardless of the account.
This tab displays the name, price and date of product purchase/download. Demo versions are labeled as Demo. If you click on the product category, it will be selected in the Navigator window.
How to Install an Earlier Purchased Application

You may need to move a previously purchased application to another platform. For example, you may use several trading platforms on one or several computers.
If you use several platforms on the same computer, copy the ex5 file of the application to a similar folder of the target platform. For example, you should copy a file from [source trading platform]\MQL5\Indicators\Market to [target trading platform]\MQL5\Indicators\Market.
If you need to move a previously purchased product to another computer:
- Specify your MQL5.community account data on the Community tab of the target platform.
- Open the "Market" tab and move to the Purchased section. Click "Install" near the purchased product:

Each product is tied to the configuration of the computer it is purchased from. According to "Market" service Rules, the number of free product activations available to the buyer on another computer after purchasing the product is defined by the seller. The minimum number of such Activations is 4. Further on, a user will have to purchase them again. |
How to Update an Application to the Latest Version
From time to time sellers may release updated versions of their products to increase reliability and extend functionality.

To check whether new versions of your previously purchased or downloaded products are available, go to the "Purchased" tab.
If a new version of a product is available, you will see the corresponding message against it as well as the "Update" button (or the "Update demo" button for demo version of paid products).
Once this button is pressed, the new version will be downloaded. The new file replaces the previous one. Thus if need, save the old version of the file under a different name or outside of the directory [platform data folder]\MQL5\Market\.
